The guesthouse Alcova del Doge is situated in Mira - Venice in the heart of the Brenta River countryside, antique holiday location for the Venetian nobles, 15 km. from Venice and 20 km. from Padua. This restructured 1850 palace offers its guests six bedrooms, all of which unique for its original and suggestive personality. As you enter, you'll be welcomed by a cosy hall, surrounded by enchanting greenery and 1600's walls.

Michela and Sabrina, the owners of the house are happy to welcome and provide hospitality to you and your loved ones, your friends, your family, your pets, and naturally your car or bicycle that will find a  shelter for the night.

The six romantic bedrooms of the Alcova del Doge reflect all the particular care and passion that was put into choosing the right fabrics and furnishings by the house owners.
The furniture was carefully selected from antique markets and dealers and different colours were used for each room in order to create a warm and cosy atmosphere, while still including all the comforts such as air conditioning, LCD TV, PC outlet, safe and drinks-fridge.
All the spacious ensuite bathrooms have hairdryer and magnifier mirror. From the windows you can admire a wonderful view of the courtyard, a vigorous park of an old ,antique villa and the suggestive and relaxing flowing of the Brenta River, giving you a real sense of peace and rest.

The Interstate 11 connects Venice ( antique capital of the Serenissima ) to Padua, historical university town situated along the Brenta River. Mira, on the Brenta Riviera, equal distance from Padua to Venice , is the ideal departing base for numerous excursions that this rich territory offers.
You can reach Venice in 30 minutes by bus, or by train from the nearby Mira – Mirano railway station only 2 km. from the Alcova del Doge.
Only a few kilometres from us, you can visit the famous Venetian Villas on the Brenta Riverside, easily reachable by bike or you may go on one of the many organized river- boat tours. Verona, Venice , the spectacular Po Delta, the Dolomite Mountains , the vast beaches of the Adriatic Riviera, the Thermal Baths and the Prosecco wine Road are only an hour away.

HOW TO REACH US:

If you're coming from Milano, Roma, Bologna ( A4, A13) , highway A4 exit Dolo-Mirano. At the round, turn right on the second exit, following indications to "Riviera del Brenta"; arrived at the second round turn right on the first exit, following the blue indications to Dolo/Mira. Keep on the right (do NOT take the underpass), following the indications to Dolo and Cazzago Centre. Continue for about 1km. Arrived in Cazzago, at the first traffic light turn left. Continue along the street (via Molinella). At the end of the street turn left and in 50 m . you'll see the "Alcova del Doge" on your left.

If you're coming from Tarvisio-Udine, Trieste ,Belluno or Pordenone ( A4, A23,A27,A28) , highway A4 exit Venezia Est. Take the "tangenziale"(by-pass), following the green indications A4 to Milano.Take the A4 to Milano and go out at Dolo-Mirano. At the round, turn right on the second exit, following indications to "Riviera del Brenta"; arrived at the second round turn right on the first exit, following the blue indications to Dolo/Mira. Keep on the right (do NOT take the underpass), following the indications to Dolo and Cazzago Centre. Continue for about 1km. Arrived in Cazzago, at the first traffic light turn left. If you're arriving from the Venice airport "Marco Polo" , follow the green indications A4 to Milano , take the highway A4 to Milano and go out at the exit Dolo-Mirano. If you're arriving from Ravenna , SS 309 "Romea", follow the blue indications to SR11 to Padova.In 10 km you'll reach the town of Mira.Get past the centre direction Dolo-Padova. The "Alcova del Doge" is at 300 m . on the right.

ACTV buses leaving every 15-30 minutes from Venice (piazzale Roma), from Mestre (P.zza XXVII Ottobre), from Padua (bus station P.le Boschetti) and get off at the bus stop "Capitello Albrizzi" in Mira. The "Alcova del Doge" is at 150 m . from the bus stop. Please find all the timetables you need on the web-sites : www.actv.it and www.atvo.it .The line Padova-Venezia is the 53E.

From Venice airport "Marco Polo" : if you rent a car at the airport follow the green indications A4 to Milano , take the highway A4 to Milano and go out at the exit Dolo-Mirano. If you travel using the public means of transportation catch the "ATVO EXPRESS" bus to Mestre leaving every half an hour or the ACTV city bus n° 15 and get off at "Piazza XXVII Ottobre".
From here catch the ACTV bus n° 53E Venezia-Padova and get off at the bus stop "Capitello Albrizzi" in Mira. The "Alcova del Doge" is at 150 m . from the bus stop. Please find all the timetables you need on the web-sites : www.actv.it and www.atvo.it.

From Treviso Airport : if you use the public means of transportation catch the "ATVO EXPRESS" bus to Mestre connecting to your flight. Get off at "Piazza XXVII ottobre". From here catch the ACTV bus n° 53E Venezia-Padova and get off at the bus stop "Capitello Albrizzi" in Mira. The "Alcova del Doge" is at 150 m . from the bus stop.
